Located in southeast Guatemala, in the Municipality of Esquipulas, La Ruda began its production in 2007. Coffee trees in this area are now from 6 to 9 years old, which means that production is on the rise.
The region’s terroir is excellent for specialty coffee production, bringing about balanced and unique characteristics with each lot and harvest. La Ruda is certified with the Rainforest Alliance, demonstrating its commitment to responsible and sustainable agricultural practices.
