Michael had the pleasure of spending time with José and buying directly from him. Half of the profits will go directly to José and the community of weavers.

Hello, my name is José Joaquín Paya and I am a community
member of the Paez Indigenous Reserve of the municipality of Planas, township
of Gaitania. I work the business of weaving Mochilas (backpacks) with Wayuu
fabric and sheep wool, which are traditional for the NASA people. These
mochilas are hand woven by members of my community as a long standing tradition.
Thank you for appreciating the workmanship of our creations which spans many
generations.
