“Awake, awake O sleeper
And rise from the dead…”
The grave can’t hold you back.
There’s life on the other side
Of a good cup of coffee.
So, rise up!
Long before the Spanish conquistadors arrived in Guatemala, the land was ruled by various Mayan kingdoms and the history is rich & deep in this beautiful country! It’s also home to the deepest lake in Central America, more than 30 volcanoes, the longest war in Latin American history (almost 40 years), and of course the gorgeous quetzal bird. We hope you enjoy our new Guatemalan coffee that is as rich and nuanced as their culture.
Antonio Medina of Finca La Colina has produced an offering that raises the bar for what could be called "classic" Guatemalan coffee. Grown in the Chimaltenango region, this coffee is an elevated experience that combines the comforting chocolate undertones many Guatemalan coffees are known for, adds a sweetly tart citric acidity, and gains some power and balance from a lingering black tea finish.
