Manshiya XCI, a Kent lot processed through the Alchemy XCI protocol. Entered into Qima’s Competition & 90+ Series, it presents a vibrant profile of raspberry, plum, stone fruit, juicy structure, and honey, shaped by highland elevations of
1,900–2,100 metres and meticulous post-harvest innovation.

These coffees are sourced exclusively through Qima’s fresh cherry supply chain, ensuring meticulous processing and complete traceability down to the single farmer level. Offered as either village lots—aggregating the harvests of super smallholder farmers—or as unique single farmer lots, this series highlights the dedication and
individuality of Yemen’s coffee-growing communities.

ABOUT MAGHRAB ANS

Maghrab Ans, one of the largest districts in Dhamar governorate, lies to the west of Dhamar city, bordered by Ibb to the south and ‘Atmah to the west. Its landscape is defined by rugged mountains and steep terrain, with elevations between 1,600 and 2,500 metres and a climate that is mild in summer and cold in winter. Agriculture forms the backbone of life, largely dependent on seasonal rains and natural springs. Coffee remains the dominant crop, alongside qat, grains, bananas, mangoes, and livestock. Maghrab Ans traces its heritage to Ans ibn Malik of the Madh’hij tribe, and its farming traditions continue to shape both the land and the identity of its people.

Qima Coffee, together with scientists from Alliance for Coffee Excellence, discovered a pure Arabica “Mother Population” a few years ago, called Yemenia. It represents a new ocean of genetics with untapped potential to transform the genetic landscape of Coffea Arabica. We were part of the first global auction where Yemenia was introduced to the world in 2020 and purchased one of the top lots. Everyone literally freaked out over it…in a good way, you know. Now, a few years later, we can’t quite afford the top lots of Yemenia, but we did everything in our power to bring you some of this heavenly goodness once again!
